Grant Burge Benchmark Shiraz

Cracka Review

The 2009 Benchmark Shiraz is deep purple in colour, with a highly perfumed nose the wine is enticing as soon as your pour it into the glass. Aromas are dominated by red berry fruits, subtle blueberry and milk chocolate with a touch of sweet vanilla. The palate is full with generous red berry fruit flavours and red boiled lollies, complimented with a soft and subtle tannin structure and well integrated acidity that compliments the sweeter aspects of the wine. The elegance and freshness of this wine will please many palates and would be well suited to lamb dishes with greek flavourings and a fresh green salad.
