Gravitas Hugo's Delight Late Harvest Riesling

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
Named after one of the proprietor's sons, the 2007 vintage was picked in Marlborough at 34 brix and stop-fermented with 150 grams/litre of residual sugar. Golden, with a strongly botrytised bouquet, it is rich, peachy and honeyed, with crisp acidity keeping things lively. Drink now or cellar.

Michael Cooper (2005 Vintage) says
Named after one of the proprietor's sons, the 2005 vintage was picked in mid-late May with a 'significant' percentage of noble rot. Handled without oak, it's an attractive late-harvest style with a gentle botrytis influence and ripe lemon and peat flavours, fresh and smooth. It's not a dramatic wine, but shows good harmony.
