Gravitas Marlborough Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Gravitas is the label of expatriate Kiwi Martyn Nicholls, whose company, St Arnaud's Vineyards, owns 30 hectares of vineyards in Marlborough. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the 2002 vintage is highly impressive - strapping (14.5 per cent alcohol), lush and minerally, with lovely intensity of peach, butterscotch and nut flavours, mealy and very harmonious. It's a powerful yet delicate wine, dry and very concentrated.
