Gravitas Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
The arresting 2002 vintage was produced by St Amaud's Vineyards, which owns 30 hectares of vineyards near Renwick, in Marlborough. One of the most powerful and intense Sauvignon Blancs I've tasted from the region, its a robust wine (14. 5 per cent alcohol), richly fragrant, with bold, highly concentrated gooseberry/lime flavours, fine acidity and a resounding, fully dry finish. The 2003 has slight 'armpit' aromas and a weighty, dry palate with ripe melon and lime flavours, a touch of complexity and good acid spine.
