Greywacke Marlborough Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The powerful 2009 vintage was hand-harvested in the Brancott Valley (mostly in the upper reaches) and fermented and matured for 16 months in French oak barriques (25 per cent new). The bouquet is complex, citrusy and nutty; the palate is very weighty (14.5 per cent alcohol), with concentrated, vibrant, slightly buttery flavours and finely integrated oak. It's still very youthful; open mid-2012+.
