Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Likely to build in the bottle over time, this charming and savoury nebbiolo will suit the pinot drinker to a tee. Its alluring, spicy and faintly meaty bouquet of sweet raspberries, red cherries, briar and underbrush is scented with an earthy rose garden perfume and overlies suggestions of dried herbs. It's long and complete, with a deliciously translucent presence of red berries and cherries underpinned by pliant willowy tannins, finishing dusty and gravelly, with bright, refreshing acids.

Tar, mineral and red fruit with excellent tannin and alcohol to fruit balance. This has the poised delicacy to the balance of structural elements, red fruit and meat stock flavours and the tidy dry refreshment that characterises the finish.

Bright colour for nebbiolo; the fragrant complexities of the bouquet do not prepare you for the sheer intensity of the palate and its array of warm spices, savoury berry fruits and perfect tannins. Small wonder the wine has had such acclaim.

Tasted twice. Floral and quite pretty and a mix of confectionary dark berry fruit flavours and savoury spice with balanced tannins and black tea tannins to finish.

The newly packaged Grove Estate nebbiolo shows terrific ripeness here in the 2007 edition, with some dark-spiced cherry and chocolate, ripe, dark summer berries and lively fragrant lift, building gently floral with air. The palate has crisp, crunchy cherry flavour and plenty of juicy tannin texture, really balanced and approachable. Good with grilled or braised meats.

Remarkably tamed nebbiolo that retains clear varietal character yet is food (and taster) friendly. It has seductive berry and spice aromas and flavours, but it is the fine, soft tannins that make this something special. Trophy NSW Wine Awards '09, Blue-Go

Briar, earth, mineral, black tea, aromas. Soft acid sweet alcohol and a medium length fruit weight palate and the finish is short, then brings tannins and savoury back together.

Developing nicely, adding more fragrance to the experience with sweet spices, musk, maraschino, rose petals and rich cherry fruits. The palate is sensationally crafted, packed with elegant, bright cherry fruit and fine, juicy tannin/acid draw through the finish; long and elegant. Starting to swing into the drinking zone now.

Has lovely cherry fruit running through the palate, its oft-quoted similarity to pinot easy to see. One of a small handful of nebbiolos to succeed in Australia

Appealing weight and alcohol sweet fruit with a big jubey fruit and nice savoury spice end comes together on the finish.
