Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
The 1999 vintage was French oak-matured for 20 months. Richly coloured, mouthfilling, fruity and firm, it's a concentrated, finely balanced wine, similar to the 1998, with impressive complexity, warmth and depth.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the fragrant bouquet shows raspberry/plummy fruit and cedary/vanillin/dusty oak. The palate has the even flow and softness one expects to find in first class Merlot; the vintage has ensured the fruit flavours are ripe.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The 1998 vintage is one of Grove Mill's finest red wines to date. Warm and complex, with full, bright colour and a fragrant, spicy bouquet, it shows excellent concentration of ripe cassis and plum flavours, seasoned with quality oak.
