Cracka Review

Barossa Semillon is a bit of an oddity in the wine world, a wine that is deeply uncool but can be quite enjoyable too. Here it's crisp and citrussy but also with a generosity to the palate that makes for something very drinkable, it's pleasure is from soft lemony roundness and a crisp finish. Best drunk icy cold on a warm Barossan afternoon.

Winemaker's Notes

A wine of intense aromas and flavours, ranging from the subtle pea pod and apple progressing to hay bale, lime and lemon/citrus with developed tropical fruit flavours.

Gumpara Wines Old Vine Barossa Valley Semillon

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Attractive semillon undefiled by oak; fresh lemon and apple fruit is supported by lively, zesty acidity; very much in the new style of Barossa Valley semillon, giving full opportunity for the near-90-year-old vines to express themselves.
