Hamelin Bay Shiraz

Cracka Review

Winemakers always talk about dream vintages, but they don’t happen all that often. Unless of course you happen to make wine in the Margaret River, where they have endured auspicious conditions for the last four vintages. And this wine disproves the theory you can’t make good Shiraz out of this part of WA. It’s already got a whopping 94- point rating from wine critic James Halliday and we are just as excited thanks to its core of black fruits and spicy plum. A pure blackberry palate follows with a soft and supple mouthfeel that will keep you coming back for more.

Winemaker's Notes

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
The slightly lower alcohol is reflected in the purple-crimson hue; the fragrant bouquet and lively palate offer more at this stage than Five Ashes, with juicy, spicy red and black cherry fruit supported by fine tannins.
