Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; sweet, clean, juicy blackberry fruit drives both the bouquet and palate, where sweet blackberry and blackcurrant fruit have much more structure than many Rhone blends; good balance and length. Colton was one of the first settlers in McLaren Vale, and the ruins of his house are adjacent to the vineyard which produces this wine. For the record, it is in fact Shiraz Grenaehe Mourvedre (SGM) even though it is labelled GSM.
