Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvi
Here we have a medium-bodied, elegant, almost cool style of cab sav out of South Oz. It shows appealing smells of red fruits, violet florals, cassis and a hint of mint on the nose, whilst the palate is full of blackcurrant and earthy, leafy flavours, with mellow tannins, friendly acidity, and a smooth, soft finish. Just the thing for a tomatoey pasta dish mid-week.
Juicy jubey fruits lead the nose, with varietal notes of mulberries, red cherries and Christmas pudding. A rich fruit driven palate shows ripe Cabernet weight and structure that coats the whole mouth while hints of French oak provides interest and texture. Produced in a style that is approachable young but will repay in short term cellaring.
