Cracka Review

Primitivo, like the name suggests, is a beast of a variety, closely aligned to Zinfandel and known for it's wonderfully dark black fruit, bitumen like in it's intensity of colour and flavour. This wine follows that recipe too, a bold and ballsy red with inky power to burn.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Deep red crimson hues.

Nose: A complex bouquet of sweet red cherries with hints of molasses and earthy notes of freshly turned soil and white truffles.

Palate: It’s an easy drinking style with a light and velvety mouthfeel, a smooth, lengthy finish and soft tannins.

Food: Try this wine with tomato-based pasta dishes such as vegetarian lasagna with eggplant, capsicum and zucchini.

Cellaring: Drink now or cellar to 2018.

Alcohol: 14.5%

Lifted perfumed candied aromas. Silky smooth in the mouth; good fruit balance and crisp acid.
