Hanging Rock Shiraz Blend

Cracka Review

Medium bodied with some obvious tannin and an excellent example of skilful blending; the richness of the Shiraz, the spicy ripe characteristics of the Grenache, the smooth texture and flavour of the Pinot Noir and the structure of the Mourvedre combine to produce a great food wine.

Rock Shiraz blend matches well with most meat dishes and with pasta dishes featuring tomato based sauces.

Hanging Rock Shiraz Blend

Ken Gargett (2004 Vintage) says
From the terrific Hanging Rock winery, a delicious and unusual mix of shiraz, pinot, malbec and grenache. This may be a bit of a red wine fruit salad, but it is a drinker. Great for picnics; or if you're just looking for a top drop and really don't want to bang on endlessly about varietal character and which forest supplied the barrels. The Rock range is the value package from Hanging Rock—and by golly this is value.
