Happs Viognier

Cracka Review

Colour: Dark straw.

Nose: Attractive and varietal aroma of apricot, orange blossom, pear and quince, with almond meal and butterscotch notes.

Palate: A full flavoured wine with sweet fruit that displays flavours of pear, almond, honey dew melon and fig. The wine is soft and round with a long flavour and quince aftertaste.

An opulent wine, with ripe apricot, and a rich and lively palate; good oak handling; a full-flavoured, but not heavy, harmonious finish.

Quite weighty and mouthfilling; rich; tropical viognier with a not uncommon slightly congested finish; food style

Light green-yellow; a highly aromatic bouquet with fruit pastille and orange blossom varietal aromas is followed by a lively, fresh palate, again with those pastille/blossom flavours. The mouthfeel and texture doesn't quite show the high alcohol, which is all the more interesting.
