Cracka Review

A multi-regional blend, this combines the best limey juiciness of Clare Valley fruit with the line and length of Tasmanian fruit, the combination sublimely powerful, clean and really quite beautiful. Very impressive Riesling.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Pale straw with green hues.

Nose: Intensely aromatic with fresh citrus, green apple and tropical notes.

Palate: A fine, yet flavoursome palate highlights all the characters of the bouquet; a steely mid palate showing Clare Valley lime citrus and apple, complemented by grapefruit spice and hallmark Tasmanian mineral acidity, which leads into a long, powerfulfinish.

Food: Oysters served natural with a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Hardys HRB Riesling

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
D644. Bright green-straw; a delicious riesling that is a 63/37% blend of Clare Valley and Derwent River (Tasmania) grapes; full of lime juice fruit flavours, it has equally good acidity running through to the finish of the long palate.
