James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
A bland of shiraz from Frankland River and Mount Barker, matured for 20 months in new and 1-year-old French barriques. Strong crimson-purple; black cherry dominates coupled with blackberry, the tannins ripe; the oak contribution is obvious, but well balanced and integrated.

Has won top awards (in several lesser wine shows) and it's not hard to see why; crimson-purple, it weaves red and black fruits, French oak and silky tannins into a picture-perfect tapestry.

Delicious wine with lovely mocha aromas and perfectly ripened black jubey fruit flavours on a silky-smooth palate. Excellent by any standards.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Fragrant and spicy red fruit and licorice aromas and flavours; medium-bodied and unforced, with just enough extract to provide texture.

Some ´boot polish on the nose and firm tannins on the young, fresh and well-structured palate.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
An attractive bouquet with blackberry, cracked pepper, and spice to the blackberry and cherry fruit; a rich palate, with excellent structure, ripe tannins and long finish.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Bright purple-red; perfectly ripened blackberry, spice, licorice and plum fruit on both bouquet and palate; supple mid-palate, then fine, lingering tannins and oak in support roles; 2 trophies.
