Harewood Estate White Rabbit

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat the team at Harewood have pulled this ‘White Rabbit’ by waving their winemaking wand. An interesting blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Semillon from several cool climate sites in W.A. makes this a no brainer for mid-week quaffing. It’s like a fruit shop on the nose with citrus, rock melon and banana all appearing. The theme continues on the palate culminating in some grapefruit tinged acidity.

Winemaker's Notes

A brilliant, fresh, green straw colour. A lively, active nose of fresh nectarines and citrus with hints of more tropical banana and rockmelon. The “fruit cocktail” of the nose follows on to the palate. A delicious combination of juicy citrus fruits, stone fruits and pineapple, with an underlying grapefruit acidity providing a lingering vibrancy. This wines lively fruit and crisp finish are best enjoyed in its youth.

Light- to medium-bodied; clean, fresh gentle fruit salad flavour and soft acidity; no pretensions; unwooded Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon/Chardonnay.
