Haselgrove Bella Vigna McLaren Vale Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Haselgrove mixes the magical synergy between Italian heritage and McLaren Vale Vineyards. It’s the shared vision of four men of Italian descent with a passion for wine. The Bella Vigna range is all about the best parcels of fruit from the region put to good use in a Shiraz that really speaks of where it comes from. It’s vibrant with plum and dark berries with hints of cedary oak before strong flavours of blackcurrant that’ balanced and carried by nicely woven tannins.

Winemaker's Notes

Typical McLaren shiraz deep crimson colour, rich full bodied plum flavours with great length.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Strong purple-crimson; a lush, full-bodied McLaren Vale shiraz, crammed with blackberry, plum and black cherry, indeed Cherry Ripe; the tannins are round and smooth, French and American oak both adding their contribution.

Right in the mainstream of McLaren Vale style; sumptuous black fruits, dark chocolate and cedar are intertwined with ripe tannins; good length and balance.
