Cracka Review

From the good people at Haselgrove comes this cracker of a cab! Atypical aromas of blackcurrants and mint decorate the nose, with just a whiff of mocha oak. The palate is balanced, dry and juicy, with dark fruits and spice flavours, a lick of mint poking through, dusty tannins, and a decent lip-smaking finish. It's great value, and would go great with a nice juicy steak.

Winemaker's Notes

Classic ripe cassis aromas and flavours fine tannins and great finish.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright crimson-purple; shows (again) what McLaren Vale can do with cabernet sauvignon given the right seasonal climate and intelligent winemaking. Here cassis/blackcurrant fruit has been matured in appropriate oak, and the tannin extraction judged to perfection.
