Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Vigne Blanche Sauv Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Henri Bourgeois is one of the top producers in the Loire Valley in France, but don’t expect this Savvy to be a passionfruit bomb. It's a bit more gooseberry, stone fruity and citrus with a hint of 'sweat'. The palate is delicate, fine and dry with a nice lemony drive to the acid, and a chalky texture to the mouthfeel. It's lip smackingly good and would be great with seared scallops and Thai dressing.

Winemaker's Notes

Delicate nose with aromas of white fresh fruits and citrus, this Sancerre is highlighted by its typicity and its great expression of the Sauvignon grape.

“La Vigne Blanche” is expressing some exotic fruits sublimed by citrus character. Its persistence and its harmony find their origin in the well exposed vines and the nature of the soil.

A delight at the beginning of the meal, “La Vigne Blanche” is an excellent companion as well to any noble products from the sea. Kernel of scallop with mango emulsion, a roll of bass in curry and of course, the famous Crottin de Chavignol goat cheese are sure to tempt you and your guests!
