Shows just how good these cabernets can be when given a little cellar time. This one is from a ripe and full vintage and it is stacked with intense fruit characters. The nose is just starting to show some secondary character to complement the leafy black currant cabernet. The palate shows a minerally richness with a fine iron filings core and supported with fine ripe tannins. Starting to drink very nicely.

Not half bad when you get hold of a six year old Margaret River cabernet from a very good vintage. Starting to show more of those leafy minerally gravelly characters of a more mature cabernet. It's quite sinewy and refined with excellent fruit layering on the middle palate. The oak is perfectly in harmony and the long sinewy tannins add some bite. A classy wine of great breeding.
