Heymann-Lowenstein Schieferterrassen Riesling

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
I simply adore seeing German Riesling under screwcap, especially the dry styles that can be so forceful; this deeply coloured, exotic, detailed and savoury Riesling will challenge most on the bouquet, but the palate provides a layered, complex and intriguing example of what can be achieved when the boundaries are pushed; eminently drinkable despite its apparent weight.

Wine Companion (2011 Vintage) says
The dry style of riesling that is becoming so popular across Germany has long been a tradition of this producer, and the deep colour, and deeply complex bouquet steps out of the pure-green apple norm for the Mosel; wet slate ripe citrus, nashi pear and spice are all on show; the dry rugged and intoxicating palate is long, engaging and unusual in many respects, yet offers an insight in to the terroir of the region through a different set of hands.
