It's bright, it's zesty, it's from Margaret River and would be the bomb with a seafood platter. Need to know more? Smells of citrus, passionfruit, gooseberries and grassiness decorate the nose, whilst the palate is lighter-bodied and racy, with zippy lemon and grapefruit flavours, sabre-like acidity, and a crisp, dry, refreshing finish.
Margaret River has shown itself to be eminently suitable to the production of blends of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
The South by Southwest Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a stylish wine with verve and brio. Light to medium bodied with palate weight being derived from the Semillon component, and the nerviness and punch coming from the Sauvignon Blanc.
We seek to make the wine with intensity, balanced acidity and a cleansing, refreshing palate, reflecting the natural acidity and dryness of the southern Margaret River area.
