The famous vineyard in question? None other than Rosemount's old Roxburgh vineyard, itself one of the oldest Chardonnay plots in the country...
Highgate Chardonnay is from a very famous vineyard in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales which has consistently produced high quality fruit for a number of well known, premium wines. This elegant Chardonnay has length and finesse. French oak plays a subtle but essential role in the wine integrating fully with its rich, natural flavours. A perfect accompaniment to shell fish, other seafood and chicken dishes.
Appearance: Deep Straw.
Nose: Obvious fruits are peaches and melons, there is an evident depth in the aroma and some vanilla notes.
Palate: Generous and round fruits, carried by elegant and restrained oak. There is a refreshing crispness to the finish which draws you back for more.
