Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Genuinely elegant and regional, this finely crafted Coonawarra cabernet has a sweet fragrance of juicy cassis, dark plums, dried herbs and mulberries laced with scents of blue flowers and knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak. Fullish to medium in weight, it's long and deeply layered, with a faintly minty presence of black and red berries and cedary oak supported by firm, fine, drying tannins and finishing with a faintly herbal edge.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Red-purple; a classic, elegant Coonawarra cabernet, the blackcurrant fruit of the bouquet and palate with an underlay of clean dark earth that will become more evident as the wine ages; balance and length are very good.

Australian Wine Companion 2011
Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
A pristine, elegant and focused cabernet whose briary, violet-like scent of blackberries, cassis, smoky cedar/vanilla oak and dusty undertones of dried herbs precedes an alluring palate whose essence-like varietal flavour, gamy oak and voluptuous texture are neatly bound by a firm, pliant grip of fine tannin. Delightfully long and balanced.

Rob Geddes MW (2004 Vintage) says
Early vintages had delicious classic regional varietal character in the tight traditional style, has become more obvious and bigger with more new oak.
Australian Wine Vintages 2010
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Good colour; dense, powerful style with blackcurrant fruit and a touch of chocolate; big tannins; very long palate. Multiple trophies 2004 Limestone Coast Wine Show.
