Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Deep, dark-fruited and gamey, with a deep, earthy and floral bouquet of plums, dark berries and cedar/vanilla oak backed by nuances of mint and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, it's smooth and finely integrated, with a pleasing depth of dark, wild and brambly fruits, polished oak and powdery tannins. Just lacks the length for a higher score.

Denser colour than Wilgha; the palate, like the colour, is more powerful and concentrated, firmly in the black fruit spectrum; entirely different style, not so different quality.

A massive wine; great depth to the array of black fruits, but is slightly extractive. Will improve.

Has some of the McLaren Vale chocolate along with blackberry, mocha and vanilla; good balance, ripe tannins.
