Cracka Review

Made from a blend of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and merlot, this is value on a stick! It's a medium-bodied, fruity style of wine that shows lots of blackcurrants, mint and pluminess on the nose, along with sniffs of toasted vanilla. The palate is succulent and smooth, with a choc-coated plum centre, a slight chew to the tannins, and a lush fruity finish with just a hint of pepper in the tail. Saying it is a bargain doesn't even begin to cover it!

Winemaker's Notes

The colour is a brilliant bright cherry red with a vibrant scarlet hue. The nose displays concentrated aromas of plums and raspberries, enhanced by vanilla spice, nutmeg and touches of charry oak. Dense and rich, the juicy palate displays red berry fruit, with notes of chocolate and mint. Fine chalky tannins lend structure and length.

Enjoy with a slow cooked shoulder of lamb or a selection of hard cheeses.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
This really is a lovely wine for the price. Aromatic and scented on the nose with a mix of red fruits and mint. A little light cedar floats through the background. The palate is a seamless and elegant combination of stylish fruit and balance oak. The fine sinewy tannins give structure. Excellent
