Howard Vineyard Amos Chardonnay

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This is a lovely chardy that has had few winemaker tricks chucked at it. It's a real medium-bodied (13.5% alcohol), peaches and cream style that has seen some expensive French oak, and some appealing creamy lees. The palate is full of stone fruit flavours, creamy in texture, and finishes long and bright. This would be great with the Sunday roast chicken.

Winemaker's Notes

Selected parcels of our finest Chardonnay were barrel fermented and matured in a mix of new and old French oak barriques. The wine displays cool climate Chardonnay characteristics of stone fruits and white peach with delicate floral notes while the oak maturation imparts a complex finish.

The palate has a rich, creamy texture with an abundance of peach, spice, toasted cashew and vanilla. This wine delivers incredible length and lingers on the pallet for an age.

This barrel selected, handpicked Amos wine is only produced in exceptional vintages. Be sure to snap this wine up before we drink it all! Ian’s Choice.
