Cracka Review

This is a lovely juicy fruit and spicy wine out of the Adelaide hills that still has room to grow. Aromas of black plums and berries float out of the glass, along with pepper spice and vanilla bean. The palate is medium-bodied, with silky dark fruits at it's centre, fine-grained tannins, and a bright vanilla finish. It will improve further with cellaring, but give it some air and serve with roast lamb, and you're good to go.

Winemaker's Notes

An extraordinary example of cool climate Shiraz, winning a Silver medal at the 2011 Adelaide Hills Wine Show. Our 2010 Shiraz is deep ruby in colour with aromas of dark berries, plums and vanilla.

The rich palate displays blackberries, olives, white pepper and spice, followed by smooth vanillin oak and perfectly balanced tannins. This wine will benefit from careful cellaring and is best decanted thirty minutes prior to serving.

Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
A mid-weight Adelaide Hills shiraz that has a sheen of peppered wild berries and redcurrant fruits - quite elemental and fresh. The palate delivers light red-fruit flavours with soft, easy tannins and is best drunk young whilst fresh and lively.
