Cracka Review

This a great value wine at the price that is already picking up some wine show bling, including a gold at the Adelaide Hills Wine Show. There's plenty of vibrant red and dark berry fruits on the nose, together with sniffs of soft spices and toast. The palate is fruity and lush, with a dark cherry centre, mellow tannins, and a smooth spicy finish. Enjoy over the next 3 to 5-years with a pulled pork bun.

Winemaker's Notes

This is one cracker of a wine, winning the Gold Trophy at the 2011 Adelaide Hills Wine Show. The Gambol is a medium to full bodied blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, ideal for a Sunday BBQ.

Plum, spice and blueberry aromas accompany the deep crimson colour. The palate is filled with red berries, plums, toasty oak spice and balanced with soft tannins on the finish. This wine showcases the superb blending characteristics of Shiraz and Cabernet, the Great Australian Red.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright purple-crimson; a fragrant and fresh bouquet meshes with the lively black and red cherry fruit of the palate; firm, spicy tannins provide structure. For enjoyment now or down the track.
