Hugh Hamilton The Ruffian Liqueur Muscat

Cracka Review

Colour: Bright polished walnut.

Drink: Whenever you're ready.

Bouquet: 'The Ruffian' has aromas of ripe raisins, deeply aromatic and floral.

Palate: The most apt description of the Ruffian would be 'nectar'. It has a ripe raisin character, high viscosity, smooth texture and great lingering length. So luscious it should be declared illegal.

Food Match: Drink it with rich desserts such as toffee, caramel or Christmas puddings; or drizzle it over ice-cream. Alternatively enjoy by a fire with chocolate and close friends.

Peter Forrestal says
This was a bit of a surprise packet, a classy McLaren Vale fortified to give the Rutherglen guys some competition. It has intense malt, butterscotch and raisin flavours, is soft, round and vibrant and finishes clean and fresh.
