Nose: Rich plums and spice.
Palate: Full flavoured ripe plums, hints of chocolate and soft, chewy
This well respected noble red variety originated in the Rhone Valley where it
is known as Syrah. In Australia, Shiraz has become the most planted red
grape, renowned for its rich, spicy, mulberry-like flavours. The vine is strong
growing with a tendency to spread. Grape bunches tend to be long;

The vineyards for Imprint Cabernet Merlot are situated in regions renowned
for classic red wine. Some of the fruit is sourced from the Goulburn Valley
and Langhorne Creek where elegantly rich flavours develop through the
combination of warm days and cooler nights. Such characteristics are finely
balanced with fruit sourced from vineyards in the King Valley and Padthaway
regions where leaner, more restrained and savoury characters are derived.
The combination of the two provide distinctly varietal aromas and flavours.
