James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Bright, light hue; a blend of Merlot/Cabernet Franc/ Cabernet Sauvignon, half from the Eden Valley, half from the Barossa Valley; it is axiomatic to say the wine is complex and that the medium-bodied palate is quite silky, the flavours largely running in a leafy, floral, herbal spectrum. Both the oak and extract have been well handled.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Excellent crimson colour; a fragrant, indeed perfumed, bouquet with red fruits and violets leads into a lively, juicy palate awash with cassis and red fruits which carry through to the finish and aftertaste. Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon.

Rob Geddes MW (2008 Vintage) says
Merlot, franc, sauvignon in a soft fleshy style with lots of mid-palate weight and powdery tannins and tangy acidity. Made in tiny amounts and not every year.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A blend of Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon from Eden Valley/Barossa Valley; has considerable intensity and authority of flavour without excessive tannins, though the oak is, as always, present; good length.

Merlot, franc, sauvignon in a soft full style with lots of mid palate weight and powdery tannins. Tiny amounts and not made every year.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Medium-bodied, with that silky texture which Irvine gets through barrel fermentation; an array of sweet spices, plus fine, ripe tannins on a long palate. Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon.

James Halliday says
A blend of 41% Merlot from the '99 vintage, 28% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot from "01; 50% Eden Valley 50% Barossa Valley. The sum is presumably greater than the parts.
