Hailing from the Rheingau region of German comes this sweeter style of riesling. It's a vivid little number, with bright aromas of citrus, white stone fruits and honeysuckle on the nose. These smells translate to flavours on the palate, and it's all supported by lovely poise between the limy acidity and the sweetness, a minerally texture, and a bright, limy finish. This would be great with chicken liver pate on crackers.
This cuvee has been harvested at riper levels, however it has been soaked on skins for 6 hours prior to being fermented dry. The resulting wine is a powerful & structured Riesling with bursts of nectarine & lime fruits.
