Michael Cooper (1994 Vintage) says
The 1993 vintage is an elegant, beautifully balanced Marlborough wine, fruity and complex, with a pronounced yeastiness and lingering, crisp, slightly buttery finish. The pale straw 1994, a blend of Pinot Noir (60 per cent) and Chardonnay (40 per cent), matured on its yeast lees for five years, is a strongly yeasty wine, rich and smooth, with citrusy, nutty flavours showing good intensity and complexity.
