Cracka Review

Here we have a bright, highly sipable pinot noir out of the Adelaide Hills that won’t have you smashing open your piggy bank. It's an unassuming wine that shows lots of red fruits and eathiness on the nose, along with hints of pot pourri. The palate is medium-bodied with spiced red berries and licks of toasty cedar, fine savoury-edged tannins, and a long, dry finish. It's great value, and would match well with some mushroom steaks in a creamy sauce.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright cherry red
A fresh and complex nose showing lifted summer berry fruits as well as
more savoury elements of dried herbs and exotic spices, against a subtle
backdrop of integrated cedar/cinnamon oak

Spicy and aromatic, layered with complex sour cherry fruit flavours and
understated, stylish oak. The structure is delicate and savoury, with
finely textured tannins and balanced acidity leading to a refined and
lingering finish.

Cellaring Potential:
Drink now, but note this wine will also reward by careful cellaring for up to
5 years.

Serving suggestion:
An ideal accompaniment to roast duck or mushroom ragu with polenta

13.1% alcohol by volume
