Jean Bousquet Malbec Fortifed Dulce

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Dulce means 'sweet' in Spanish, and there is certainly a fair bit of that in this fortified malbec. Weighing in at around 15% alcohol, it is a very succulent style that shows lots of ripe plums, mocha, toffee and soft spice on the nose, along with a hint of orange rind. The palate is rich and mouth-coatingly sweet, with plummy and toffee flavours, a touch of savoury smokiness, some fine tannins, and a smooth, silky, caressing finish. if you like LBV ports, this may well be up your street - and it's awesome with dark chocolate!

Winemaker's Notes

Intense rich aromas with blackberry fruit, blackcurrant, chocolate and coffee notes. The mouth is full of ripe plum, marmalade and chocolate, moderately sweet follow through to a full bodied palate, silky tannins and a long finish.
