Jed Blanc De Blancs Sparkling

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Grown and produced out of Argentina by three Aussie winemakers, this sparkling is made from a blend of chardonnay and chenin blanc. It's grown in Mendoza, which is getting quite a reputation for its sparkling wines - even Mumm and Chandon have wineries there. It's a subtle, dry, crisp style that shows aromas of Granny Smith apples and lemon citrus on the nose, whilst the palate is zesty, bright and frisky with a dry, mineral finish. It's not a fruit-driven style, but it would be awesome with some freshly-shucked oysters.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Crystal clear with a fine, persistent bead and fresh green and gold hue.

Nose: Delicate aromas of green apple, citrus and intriguing mineral notes.

Palate: The palate is bright and lively, with fresh red apple flavours. The structure of this wine revolves around crisp natural acidity and displays outstanding balance. The slightest hint of complexity adds a touch of intrigue to the finish.

Jed Blanc de Blanc is blended using exclusively white grape varieties in order to deliver freshness and leanness in style. The fruit for this wine, grows in the Uco Valley, one of the highest and coolest subregions of the Menodoza wine region. The predominance of cool climate fruit preserves the delicate natural flavours and ensures elegance of structure and natural balance.
