Joel Gott Zinfandel

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Zinny is yet to catch on in a big way here in Oz, but lovers of full-bodied, sweetly-fruited wines should give it a go. This offering from the US of A (where Zinfandel is REALLY big!) is a full-blooded number, and shows lots of jubey raspberries and ripe plums on the nose, along with a hint of dried herbs and cola. The palate is full and fruity, with a sweetly-fruited centre, friendly tannins, and a spicy, fruity finish with a kick of vanilla oak in the tail. It's quite an easy drinking style, and would be great with meaty dishes.

Winemaker's Notes

The Joel Gott Zinfandel has aromas of raspberries, blackberries and blueberry jam. Dense and rich on the front of the palate with bright acidity on the mid-palate, and a long finish.
