John Forrest Collection Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
The terroir speaks with a fine, chalky voice here, some iodine too; there are bright, juicy, ripe dark cherry fruits and a nice thread of spice too. The palate s supple and fleshy, with juicy, crunchy fruit bouyed by brisk acidity; fine tannins pervade the finish, plenty of flavour here too.

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
From Bannockburn in Central Otago (the source of'New Zealand's finest Pinot Noirs'), the 2007 vintage is from a season when John Forrest harvested no grapes from the Waitaki Valley. Full ruby, it is mouthfilling and very supple, with vibrant cherry, spice and slight herb flavours, showing good concentration, fresh acidity and impressive complexity. Drink now onwards.
