John Kosovich Wines Liqueur Shiraz

Cracka Review

The beginnings of this wine started with vine dried grapes that were hand picked by John Kosovich's mother, Ane, in April 1983. With a ripeness level of 19 baume', the small parcel of fruit was perfect for the creation of a distinctive and unique liqueur. The wine remained carefully stored for 17 years in 2 oak casks, and the quality of this wine encouraged John to release it as a single vintage liqueur in the year 2000. This latest blend was bottled in July 2009 and maintains the original wine as the major component.

This is fantastic. The base wine was started in 1983 and since then vintages have been added to top it up and produce a wine of great complexity, richness and concentration. It's velvety smooth with wonderful spirit. Lifted floral vanillin notes with rich toffee and dark chocolate. Another beauty from the Kosovich team.
