This rather spiffy, grand sounding riesling is just the thing for a Thai chilli dish. It's a lighter-bodied, textured, off-dry style that shows citrus, white stone fruit and slight oatmeal smells on the nose, whilst the palate is a bit sweet, but light on its feet, with a subtle slippery texture, juicy citrus flavours, friendly, bright acidity, and a crisp finish. Lovely stuff!
The term "AOC Grand Cru" indicates a wine of superior quality. Grand Cru wines must be produced from grapes harvested by hand and grown in strictly defined vineyard areas, in this case the area known as Hatschbourg. They are gastronomic wines par excellence and an Alsace Grand Cru wine can accompany every course on the menu.
