The Vintage Sparkling 2010 is the second vintage of the first ever sparkling that has been produced under the K1 label.
The grapes were lightly pressed to extract clean, zesty juice followed by a rapid warm fermentation in tank .
The wine was then bottled and yeast added for secondary fermentation to occur in bottle. It remained on lees for 2 years. After disgorging this sparkling was topped up with a dosage of 20 year old brandy spirit.
Nose: This Pinot Noir Chardonnay blend has beautiful and lingering fresh notes of apple, lime and wild strawberries.
Palate: The Vintage Sparkling has remained on lees for two years, ensuring a yeasty depth that balances the crispness of the palate. Notes of brioche and almond will develop further with time.
Food: This wine is a perfect aperitif and may be served with canapés such as fresh oysters or bruschetta with smoked salmon, a dollop of caviar and dill.
