Cracka Review

Apricots. Apricots and peaches. That's what this fruit salad of a wine tastes like, the rich Viognier fruit on full display, touched up with a little vanilla oak to give textural generosity and weight. Net result is a lovely full flavoured white wine with loads of rich fruit.

Winemaker's Notes

Originally brought to Australia in the 1960’s from the Rhône Valley, it is only in recent time this tantalising variety has gained popularity. Viognier is well suited to the cooler regions of Australia and the Adelaide Hills provides an ideal climate.

This limited edition K1 Viognier sourced from the north-east facing slope of the K1 vineyard produces a seductive wine with white peach, lychee and ginger on the nose. The palate shows restraint and balance with notes of lemon grass, wild flowers and stone fruit flirting with spice and earth notes from barrel fermentation.

Perfect for a pan seared duck breast served with honey baked pear, blue cheese and hazelnut salad.

This finely balanced drop is drinking beautifully at present or may be cellared for 3-5 years. We suggest removing from the fridge 15 minutes before serving.
