Kahurangi Estate Unwooded Chardonnay

Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
The 2004 vintage of this Nelson wine is a very good example of the unoaked style. The grapes, grown on the Waimea Plains and in the company's Moutere Hills vineyard, were hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, and the wine was fermented and lees-aged in tanks. Fresh and vibrantly fruity, peachy and full-bodied, it's a smooth, skilfully balanced wine, highly attractive in its youth.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
The 2002 vintage of this full-bodied Nelson wine is a good example of the unoaked style. Ripely scented, it's a crisp, full-bodied wine with fresh melon and lime flavours, attractively vibrant and zingy.

Michael Cooper (2000 Vintage) says
The 2000 vintage of this full-bodied Nelson wine is a good example of the unoaked style. Fresh and uncomplicated, it places its accent on crisp, lively, lemony, apple flavours, with slight butterscotch and toffee characters adding richness.
