Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Offering immediate enjoyment, the 2002 vintage was grown on the south side of the Wairau Valley. It's a slightly sweet style, richly perfumed, with substantial body and very good depth of citrusy, spicy flavour

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The 1998 vintage is clearly superior to the 1997. The 1997 is full-bodied and soft in an off-dry style, now starting to tire. The 1998 is bright, light yellow, with a ripe, gingery fragrance. It's a mouthfilling, strongly spicy wine with a slight lack of delicacy but plenty of flavour and varietal character.
