Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Full of easy-drinking charm, the 2001 is ripely scented, with strong passionfruit and lime flavours, gentle acidity and a long finish. It's the best offering yet from a small winery overlooking the ocean at Kaikoura. The 2002 vintage is very ripely scented, with good depth of passionfruit/lime flavours in a full-bodied, smooth style, lively and balanced for easy drinking.

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
Rounded and ripe-tasting, the 1999 vintage is a very easy-drinking style from a company owned by Ross Lawson, of Lawson's Dry Hills. A clearly varietal wine, it's not concentrated, but offers decent depth of fresh melon, citrus and lime-like flavours and a smooth finish

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The 1998 vintage is a solid wine, verging on three-star quality. It's an easy-drinking style, full-bodied, ripe and rounded, with pleasant citrus/lime flavours and a fractionally off-dry finish.
