Rob Geddes MW (2011 Vintage) says
The nose is ripe plum, blue berry and black berry fruit with the generous pure style of the vineyard. Generous lavish palate with super silky tannins and lovely middle palate richness of texture and flavour. The minerality is in the tannins with lovely savoury layers trailing after tasting. A real wholesome naturalness about all the wines from this family and this is an exceptional example.

A generous, rich and balanced Barossa shiraz that tempers its concentration and power with a fine, pliant structure and an evenly ripened spectrum of flavour. Its meaty, smoky, chocolatey aromas of blackberries, cassis, dark plums and briar reveal a hint of spice, while its dark-fruited, full to medium-weight palate is carefully matched with measured oak and smooth tannins.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
Looking fresher and livelier than the previous vintage, this has plenty of blackberry and plum fruit, toasty vanilla and other baking spices, raspberry and dark chocolate. The palate's smoothly layered up in waves of fine, supple tannins, building blackberry and plum-fruit flavours through the middle; more savoury spice and bacon fat through the finish. Works for me!

It is hard not to admire the flavours of this vineyard. Ripe, yes, but they rival the best for their pure expression of the berry scents and flavours of shiraz. This is vivid berry fruit fresher and more vibrant than most, yet still in the ripe fruit, soft tannin spectrum. Sensible oak helps trap Greenock's pure vibrant fruit.

An unabashed full-bodied wine, with fruit, tannins and oak in abundance; really does need time to slim down, which it will do.

Deep magenta; deep fruited with great concentration and red and black fruits in abundance; hints of spice and a core of bright fruits lead to a long, full and harmonious finish.

This is the Kalleske family's estate shiraz, grown on their Greenock property. It's a rich dense expression of dark plum fruits, chocolate and sweet earthy aromas. There's richness with harmony, seemingly endless ripe berry and plum fruits, fine tannins woven smoothly throughout. This is one easy wine to enjoy.

Ripe colour hue; a Joseph's Coat array of flavours ranging through blackberry, satsuma plum, black cherry, spice and chocolate; supple mouthfeel; soft, ripe tannins, with oak providing appropriate support.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Deep, dense colour; saturated blackberry, plum and black cherry fruit; ripe tannins and lots of complementary oak. Needs patience.

Dense colour; very powerful, ripe and concentrated black fruits, prune and dark chocolate; tannins entirely appropriate. Long future.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Densely coloured; a gloriously rich, yet compact, array of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, mocha and vanilla; lingering tannins. Carries 15.5 degrees alcohol remarkably well.
