Kangarilla Road Hellbent Shiraz Cabernet

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This is a wine that is hell bent in having a good time. With lashings of dark fruit flavour and a little tannin backbone to make it ripe it is made for a serious cut of meat. From the heart of McLaren Vale it is a traditional big Aussie red style; bring on the steak I say.

Winemaker's Notes

Colour: Vibrant Crimson with purple hue.

Bouquet: Rich dark berry fruits with hints of plum and dark cherry.

Palate: Lifted berries and spicy plums with dark cherries. A lingering finish reflecting dark berry fruits and long fine tannins.

Angus Hughson (2008 Vintage) says
Kangarilla Road are the kings of rich, ripe McLaren Vale reds. The Hellbent has layers of mouthfilling dark fruit flavours while finishing with soft, silky tannins.
