Kate Hill Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
A handy addition to the Tasmanian Pinot Noir landscape, this shows bright plum and cherry stone fruits on the nose, with sweet, woody spices and herbal accents _ straightforward and attractive primary style. The same stone fruits arrive on the palate amid supple and fleshy shape, soft tannins and an upbeat fresh, easy finish.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Deep colour, bright; the bouquet shows a generous dollop of essency, liqueur-soaked black fruits, offset by a savoury mineral and briary edge; generously textured and rich on entry, the savoury notes and fresh acidity, drive to a fine, long and even finish.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Outstanding colour; a full-bodied pinot, full of generous black fruits, reminiscent of some top-end Central Otago wines; will be very long-lived. Two trophies Tas Wine Show '10.

James Halliday says
Full red-purple; fragrant plum and black cherry aromas translate directly onto the fore-palate, and are joined along the way by some savoury/foresty/stemmy notes to add complexity and texture. A little lean?
